How to replace the oil filter on 2008 Toyota Highlander?

Protective clothes and gloves should be used to remove the oil filter on a 2GR-FE engine. Empty the engine oil, wash and put the plug back. Take out the oil filter cap, empty the oil and change the filter and O-ring. Install the cap again making sure it is not clearanced and leak is checked.
