You must use 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf) torque to tighten the 5 parking brake cable bolts before connecting it to the parking brake plate via 2 bolts at 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf). Construct the spring cap within the body while joining its end with the parking brake pull rod. The installation of the parking brake cable heat insulator requires two bolts which must be tightened to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). High-temperature grease must be used before installing the parking brake shoe along with the parking brake shoe strut and parking brake shoe return tension spring. The order of work proceeds from the parking brake installation towards the rear disc assembly installation. Adapt the parking brake shoe clearance before putting on the rear disc brake caliper assembly. Finish the procedure by torquing the rear wheel to 112 Nm (1,137 kgf-cm, 82 ft-lbf) then verify the parking brake lever movement before installing the front console box, box bottom mat, console upper rear panel sub-assembly, shift lever knob sub-assembly for 4WD and shift lever knob sub-assembly for manual transmission and the parking brake hole cover sub-assembly.
