2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser Brake Line Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to install a brake line on 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: You should start front flexible brake hose installation by fastening it with two new clips. The bracket tubes need a union nut wrench to connect with the flexible hose which should be held by an extra wrench; conventional wrench users must tighten to 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) and wrench users should apply 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). The torque agreement requires a torque wrench measuring 300 mm (11.8 in.) for the fulcrum while the parallel union nut wrench has a 22 mm (0.866 in.) fulcrum length. You must start by filling the brake fluid reservoir before performing brake line bleed and inspecting the fluid level in the reservoir. Complete brake fluid leakage checks and then install the front wheel with a torque value of 112 Nm (1,137 kgf-cm, 82 ft-lbf).
