How to install the thermostat on 2008 Scion xD?

Installation of the 2ZR-FE cooling system thermostat begins with placing a new gasket on top of it before positioning the jiggle valve at a 10° angle upwards across its two sides. First attach the water inlet and radiator hose with their respective 2 nuts while tightening them to 10 Nm of torque equivalent to 102 kgf-cm or 7 ft-lbf. Engine coolant needs to be added after installation and leakage needs to be inspected throughout the entire engine coolant system.
