- Q: How to remove the rear door Car Speakers on the RH side on 2008 Scion xB?A: The process to remove the RH side rear door speaker uses the same steps for the LH side except where specified differently. Start by taking off the rear door armrest base upper panel followed by uninstalling the rear door inside handle bezel after which you should detach the rear door trim board sub-assembly. Before removing the rear speaker users need to disconnect its connector and drill holes into the 3 rivet heads using a drill no larger than 4 mm in diameter (0.16 inches). Use the drill to cut out the rivet head circumference by moving it around the perimeter while keeping it aligned straight with the rivet to prevent holes before removing the flange. Progressively drilling after cutting the flange should push out remaining rivet fragments. Vacate the accumulated shavings and scraps using a vacuum inside the door. Exercise caution because the rivet will become extremely hot upon cutting.
