- Q: How to properly install the Air Filter Box on 2008 Scion xB?A: Installation of the 2AZ-FE intake air filter box assembly starts by placing the union tube followed by attaching the No. 2 intake air resonator while tightening its hose clamp. Install the air filter box sub-assembly by using 3 bolts that need to be torqued to 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf) and then you can mount the wire harness. Install the No. 1 air filter box hose while securing its clamp and connect both the ventilation hose and No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose. The installation process begins with the air filter box filter element sub-assembly. Then lock the air filter box cap sub-assembly before tightening the No. 1 air filter box hose clamp. Afterward install both the necessary No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly and mass air flow meter.
