• Q: How to install the fuel injector assembly on 2008 Scion tC?

  A: After applying a light gasoline or spindle oil coat to new O-rings, users should place them on each fuel injector before installation. The procedure starts with applying gasoline or spindle oil lightly to the fuel delivery pipe section that touches the fuel injector O-ring. Reapply a small amount of the oil onto the O-ring and check it for damage before you install the fuel injectors onto the pipe. Test the fuel injector rotation until it reaches a proper smooth motion; change the O-ring when the movement is restricted. First install 4 new insulators into the cylinder head before putting on the 2 delivery pipe spacers. Sie should put together the fuel delivery pipe with the 4 fuel injectors and loosely fasten the 2 bolts while taking care not to drop the injectors. Ensure the fuel injectors move smoothly during check procedure before tightening each bolt to 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) torque specification. After hooking up all fuel injector connectors you must clamp down the two wire harness clamps. Secure the No. 2 ventilation hose to the ventilation valve while making sure both paint mark and hose clamp maintain a proper placement. Main fuel tube connection should be clicked into place through tube connector action and a fuel pipe clamp must be installed followed by fuel tube engagement in the clamp. The engineer should install both the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and the engine cover sub-assembly. Check for fuel leaks before finishing the installation by reattaching the cable to the negative terminal. Also conduct initialization procedures on systems which need reinstatement after disconnecting and reconnecting this cable from the negative terminal.
