2007 Toyota Yaris Car Speakers Parts Q&A
Q: How to remove and install the rear Car Speakers for the Hatchback 3 Door on 2007 Toyota Yaris?
A: The rear speaker removal procedure starts with disconnecting the negative terminal cable before taking out the package tray trim panel assembly along with deck board sub-assembly and deck floor box from both RH and LH sides. After removal of the No. 1 and No. 2 rear seat leg covers for the 60/40 Split Seat Type you need to remove the rear seat assembly. During Hold Down Seat Type removal, professionals must eliminate the rear seat cushion cover pad sub-assembly and rear seatback assembly from the series. The speaker installation process starts by removing front door scuff plates after separating front door opening trim Weather Strips and taking out front quarter trim panels before drilling out three rivet heads through a 4 mm (0.16 in.) drill bit. Drill straightly to avoid any damage. Vacuum up debris using the cleaner after completion of the drilling process. The new rear speaker can be fitted to the body by using the assembly's 2 claws followed by a secure installation with either an air riveter or hand riveter. Install 3 new strike rivets to the quarter panel for correct seating while maintaining gap-free installation. Proceed with reinstallation by placing back the front quarter panel assembly combined with front door opening Weather Strip and front door scuff plate. Finally connect the speaker wire before conclusion of the process. You will finish off the repair by placing back the rear seat assembly and reinstalling all components including No. 2 and No. 1 rear seat leg covers, rear seatback assembly, rear seat cushion cover pad sub-assembly, deck floor box, deck board sub-assembly and package tray trim panel assembly before reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal with 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) torque.
