2007 Toyota Tundra Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the front Wheel Stud on 2007 Toyota Tundra?
A: Service of the front wheel stud starts by removing the front wheel followed by disconnecting the left-hand side front disc brake caliper assembly. You must first detach the front disc followed by the removal of the front axle left wheel stud using Special Service Tool: 09650-17011 and a screwdriver to maintain the axle hub. Be cautious about damaging the stud threads. When installing a new wheel stud position a washer and hub nut on the stud followed by use of a screwdriver or equivalent tool as a hub holder before turning the hub nut until the bottom surface of the head touches the axle hub then remove washer and nut with precautions to avoid damaging threads. Reinstall the front disc followed by reconnecting the front disc brake caliper assembly on the left-hand side and finish by installing the front wheel while applying aluminum wheel torques at 131 Nm or 209 Nm torques for steel wheels.
