2007 Toyota Solara Control Arm Parts Q&A
Q: How to service and repair the rear No. 2 lower Control Arm on 2007 Toyota Solara?
A: Start servicing or repairing the rear No. 2 lower suspension arm by first taking off the wheel and exhaust pipe assembly and stabilizer bar and splitting off the rear strut rod assembly while also taking off the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) No.1 and No.2 rear suspension arm assemblies. You should disconnect the bolt at the inner side of the rear suspension member subassembly and the No.2 rear suspension arm assembly LH for correct positioning and temporary bolt tightening with the paint mark facing rearward before performing full bolt torquing to 100 Nm (1020 kgf-cm, 74 ft. lbs.). Apply 100 Nm of torque to the bolt and later install the rear suspension member subassembly. First fully tighten all rear No.1 and No.2 suspension arm assemblies for LH and RH sides and the rear strut rod assembly on both sides. After suspension stabilization you must fully tighten the No.1 and No.2 rear suspension arm assemblies for both sides as well as the rear strut rod assembly. To complete the installation process use a torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.) on the rear wheel inspection while installing the stabilizer bar rear and center exhaust pipe assembly alongside the rear wheel.
