2007 Toyota Solara Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install an A/C Condenser in a refrigeration system on 2007 Toyota Solara?
A: The removal process of a condenser starts with draining the refrigeration system of refrigerant. To disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose No.1 first remove its bolt along with the O-ring then use vinyl tape to cover both openings thus preventing entry of moisture or foreign matter. Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A CO-20 CO-23 by removing its bolt along with its O-ring and ensure all openings remain sealed with vinyl tape. Begin by removing two nuts to take off the air cleaner inlet assembly, radiator support upper along with the cooler condenser assembly. Seal coolers with vinyl tape after taking off the nut to remove cooler condenser bracket No.2 followed by removal of cooler condenser bracket No.1. The installation begins with cooler condenser bracket No.2 which should be bolted at a torque level of 4.4 N.m (45 kgf.cm, 39 in.lbf). The next step requires the installation of cooler condenser bracket No.1 secured with a bolt at this same torque value. The cooler condenser assembly should be installed using 2 nuts at 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 85 in.lbf) and new condensers require a 40cc (1.4 fl. oz.) addition of ND-8 or equivalent compressor oil. First process the radiator support upper before installing cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A using ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil on a new O-ring to connect it to the cooler condenser assembly with a bolt at 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 47 in.lbf). The refrigerant discharge hose nozzle No.1 requires the same procedure where compressor oil applies beforehand to the O-ring before using a bolt-type connection at proper torque settings. To finish the procedure charge the refrigerant while warming the engine and inspect all components for signs of refrigerant leakage.
