2007 Toyota Sequoia Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the front wiper motor and link on 2007 Toyota Sequoia?
A: Start front wiper motor and link repair by removing both wiper arms LH and RH by first detaching their caps with a screwdriver while taping the screwdriver tip then unbolting the nut and arm through the same process. Do the same procedure for the right-hand front wiper arm RH. First apply a clip remover to detach six clips followed by the removal of eight screws from the cowl top ventilator louver. Remove the hood after taking away the cowl top seal that connects to the cowl top ventilator louver. The windshield wiper motor can be removed after connector detachment followed by 4 bolt unfastening and post-disconnection of the wiper motor from the wiper link. You can remove the windshield wiper link by extracting it through the service hole following bolt removal of 6 bolts. Follow these steps to remove the washer nozzle through the washer hose procedure with a screwdriver first on one side then on the other. Installation begins with the washer nozzle sub-assembly while the windshield wiper link goes through the service hole before torquing the 6 bolts to 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf). After installation of the windshield wiper motor onto the wiper link position the claw into the cowl panel then torque the 4 bolts to 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) while reattaching the connector. The cowl top ventilator louver requires installation with the hood to cowl top seal first followed by screwing in 8 screws along with using 6 clips for completion. Operation of the wiper once is necessary before turning off the wiper switch where you install the wiper arms while tightening nuts manually to reach specified 25.4 mm (1.000 in) and 40.0 mm (1.574 in) positions where blades should stop before the ceramic edge. You should torque both nuts to 20 N.m while implementing 205 kgf.cm or 15 ft.lbf torque values then add the 2 caps.
