  • Q: How to service the rear Wheel Stud on 2007 Toyota Highlander?
    A: Begin work on the rear wheel stud by taking off the wheel in the back. Disconnect the rear disc brake caliper on the left side to service both 2WD and 4WD systems. Use Special Service Tool 09628-10011 and a screwdriver equivalent to loosen and remove the left-hand rear wheel stud while holding it in position. Fit a new washer and nut onto the wheel stud according to the assembly picture and secure it with a screwdriver while turning the nut to the desired stud torque value. Place the rear disc back in position first then place the left-hand rear disc brake assembly for 2WD and 4WD operations and lastly fit the rear wheel while tightening it to 103 N m.
