How to service and repair the Steering Angle Sensor on 2007 Toyota Highlander?

Start all repairs of the Steering Angle Sensor by disconnecting the battery negative terminal while taking proper safety measures. Start the replacement process by orienting the front wheels directly forward and then remove the steering pad assembly together with the steering wheel assembly and steering column cover and spiral cable and steering sensor by unfastening the 6 claw fittings. Securely install the steering sensor onto the spiral cable by following correct installation procedures which avoid causing harm to the claw. After adjusting the center front wheel proceed with installing the spiral cable and adjusting its position correctly. The technician must reinstall both steering assemblies and check the steering wheel center point alongside the steering pad assembly as well as SRS warning light and ABS warning light and VSC warning light operation.
