    Q:
How to service the Steering Angle Sensor on Toyota Sienna? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before servicing the Steering Angle Sensor one should first follow all Restraint Systems Service Precautions. Start the procedure by removing the negative terminal from the battery while keeping the front wheels parallel. The service begins with horn button removal then continues to steering wheel assembly disassembly and addition of lower steering column cover and spiral cable sub-assembly. Carefully turn the claw fittings to let go of the steering angle sensor from its connection to the spiral cable. Before installation the steering angle sensor needs to be mounted onto the spiral cable while keeping the front wheels in a straight direction. After centering the spiral cable install its sub-assembly along with the lower steering column cover. Putting the horn button assembly in position should be done after reinstalling the steering wheel assembly and verifying the steering wheel center point. Check the SRS warning light for correct functioning as the last step of the process.
