The removal process begins with turning the socket in circular motion to free the claw holding the assembly to the cigarette lighter bezel stay before pushing the socket toward the room. The socket needs alignment with the notch located on the cigarette lighter bezel stay for complete assembly removal. Place the socket against its corresponding notch on the cigarette lighter bezel stay and insert the cigarette lighter assembly with maximum effort before putting back the cigarette lighter cover followed by the upper console panel and lastly the shift lever knob sub-assembly when using a manual transmission.
