  A: The initial step consists of disconnecting the negative battery cable but minimum waiting time should be ninety seconds to deactivate the Air Bag and seat belt pretensioners. You must remove the front fender apron seal RH through both 2 screws and 3 clips. Start the replacement process by uninstalling both the fan along with the generator V belt. The generator assembly removal procedure requires disconnecting the generator connector and removing the terminal cap along with the generating nut then detaching the generator wire before taking off the 2 wire harness clamps and finally removing 2 generator bolts and 1 bolt for the wire harness clamp bracket. Begin installation by attaching the wire harness clamp bracket with bolt while keeping the crankshaft position sensor wire harness tightly fixed to the clamp bracket. Install the generator using 2 bolts, torquing bolt A to 21 N.m (215 kgf.cm, 16 ft.lbf) and bolt B to 52 N.m (530 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf), then install the 2 wire harness clamps, connect the generator wire with the nut torqued to 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf), install the terminal cap, and connect the generator connector. Install the fan V belt with its 3 clips and 2 screws. After negative battery cable reconnection continue with initialization steps since some vehicles require it when disconnecting and reattaching the wire.
