• Q: How to remove and install an A/C Condenser in a refrigeration system on 2006 Toyota Tacoma?

  A: The condenser requires a two-step installation process that starts with discharging refrigerant from the refrigeration system followed by negative cable battery terminal cable detachment. Engine coolant drainage must occur for both 2TR-FE and 1GR-FE after removing their radiator grille, radiator support to frame seal LH for both engine types and the fan shroud for both engine types. After both 2TR-FE and 1GR-FE radiator assemblies must be removed. To proceed with the discharge hose sub-assembly disassembly you should remove the bolt along with the seal washer and then use vinyl tape to cover and seal each opening while maintaining moisture and foreign matter prevention. The negative battery terminal receives the cable connection after torquing it to 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) while checking for leakage during the addition of engine coolant for both 2TR-FE and 1GR-FE systems.
