2006 Toyota Sienna Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the Yaw Sensor on 2006 Toyota Sienna?
A: The service of the yaw rate sensor requires checking for sensor drops and damage and inspecting for foreign objects between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body before confirming its directional alignment. The service begins by taking away the front seat assembly RH before the subsequent removal of the front door scuff plate RH and cowl side trim board RH requires removal of its nut and cowl side trim board plate RH. The repair of the yaw rate sensor starts with disconnecting its connector followed by uninstalling the 2 bolts which hold the yaw rate and deceleration sensor in position. The installation process starts by attaching the yaw rate sensor connector and then embedding the 2 bolts through the sensor before torquing them to 13 N.m (136 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf). Reinstall the cowl side trim board RH first by setting its nut followed by the front door scuff plate RH installation then end with reinstalling the front seat assembly RH. Perform the yaw rate and deceleration sensor zero point calibration while also verifying the ABS speed sensor signal after the installation.
