  A: The first step before servicing or repairing the throttle body demands that you drain the engine coolant. Unscrew the 3 V-bank cover sub-assembly nuts using a socket hexagon wrench 5 and then remove both the cover and nuts. The service starts with air cleaner cap sub-assembly dismantling where you disconnect mass air flow meter connector followed by vacuum hoses along with the fuel vapor feed hose from its two clamps and ventilation hose. The proper service of the throttle body begins when you loosen the 2 air cleaner cap bolts and the hose clamp bolt before removing the air cleaner cap and its accompanying No. 1 air cleaner hose and air cleaner filter element.
