How to remove and install Liftgate Lift Support on 2006 Toyota Highlander?

The trunk/liftgate shock/support is to be removed by moving the stay assembly, keeping the back door and by removing the stay assembly without making contact with the extension part of the rod. To install, once again not to touch the rod and use the bolts to install the support with the right torque.
