  • Q: How to service the PCV Valve on 2006 Scion xB?
    A: The Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve service requires users to first remove the No. 2 cylinder head cover before separating the ventilation hose from the ventilation valve. After that disconnect the ventilation valve which needs to be taken out of position. Install the ventilation valve by using 2 or 3 threads of adhesive: Part No. 08833-00070 or Three Bond 1324 or an equivalent brand and tighten it to 27 N.m (275 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf). First install the No. 2 cylinder head cover followed by connecting the ventilation hose to the ventilation valve and ending with the reinstallation of the No. 2 cylinder head cover.
