- Q: How to service the Heated Oxygen Sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 on 2006 Scion xB?A: The first step in servicing Heated Oxygen Sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 includes disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting 90 seconds to avoid activating Air Bags and seat belt pretensioners. Service of the heated oxygen sensor on Bank 1 Sensor 2 starts with disconnecting the shift lever knob for manual transaxle before removing the rear console box and sensor connector. Use Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to unmount the heated oxygen sensor. Mount the new sensor using Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 by applying 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) torque when using the tool or 40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf) when using it without the tool. The torque wrench should have a 30 cm (11.81 in.) fulcrum length. The sensor connector gets connected next before reinstalling the rear console box and shift lever knob and restoring the negative battery terminal cable and verifying exhaust gas leak points with required replacements and tightened areas.
