In order to replace the brake light switch, one should begin by disconnecting negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds to prevent Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. Then take out the stop light switch. To install again, install the stop light switch assembly back and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
