- Q: How to disassemble and reassemble an A/C Condenser on 2006 Scion xB?A: You must start condenser disassembly by removing two bolts together with the condenser bracket collars. Start by removing the cap from the modulator through its 14 mm socket hexagon wrench connection while taking out the existing O-ring from the cap. The removal of the cooler dryer requires pliers as an instrument. Install the cooler dryer using pliers then put a proper amount of compressor oil (ND-OIL 8 or equivalent) on both new and existing O-ring surfaces of the cap before O-ring placement. Apply 2.9 N.m (29 kgf.cm, 25 in.lbf) of torque to the modulator cap while installing it through use of the 14 mm socket hexagon wrench. Fasten the 2 condenser bracket collars with the 2 bolts while keeping torque at 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf).
