  A: Professional ECM service begins with disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal then waiting 90 seconds to stop Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. The service on the ECM begins with removing the glove compartment door assembly then disconnecting all 4 ECM connectors before removing the 2 ECM securing bolts. After that install the 2 screws from the ECM bracket and the 2 screws from the No. 2 ECM bracket and the 2 screws from the No. 3 ECM bracket.
