- Q: How to service and repair the A/C Condenser on 2006 Scion xA?A: The HVAC condenser service and repair procedure starts with removing 2 bolts and 2 condenser bracket collars from the No. 1 condenser bracket collar. The first task requires a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench to detach the modulator cap and extract its O-ring seal from the cap. Pliers should be used to extract the cooler dryer. Installation of the cooler dryer requires pliers and proper application of ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil on a fresh O-ring before placing it to the cap. A 14 mm socket hexagon wrench is used to reinstall the modulator cap after it reaches a torque of 2.9 N.m (29 kgf.cm, 25 in.lbf). The installation process requires final attachment of the 2 condenser bracket collars with 2 bolts which need a torque force of 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf).
