How to service the thermostat on 2006 Scion tC?

To service the thermostat, drain the engine coolant, remove water inlet and drain the thermostat. Install a new gasket on the thermostat with the jiggle valve on top then replace the water inlet using 9.0 Nm torque. Lastly add coolant, and examine leaks.
