• Q: How to replace the Yaw Sensor with VSC on 2005 Toyota Tacoma?

  A: Start vehicle replacement by disconnecting the negative terminal battery cable. Lift out the front seats regardless of bench or separated seats while also removing the front floor footrest and parts such as cowl side trim board and front door scuff plate LH. Unfold the floor carpet while you disconnect the wiring harness clamp and unscrew the bolt and bracket. You should detach the yaw rate sensor connector while unwiring the two bolts to take out the sensor. Install the new yaw rate sensor with the two bolts while setting it at the required slope and applying 12.5 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) torque. Reconnect the yaw rate sensor connector before installing the bracket with its bolt. Torque the bolt to 12.5 Nm under the specified torque range 127 kgf-cm. Put back the cowl side trim board LH and front door scuff plate LH along with front floor footrest followed by both front seat types. After connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal with 3.9 Nm force test the yaw rate sensor zero point and examine VSC sensor signals.
