  A: The replacement of the Evaporative Emission Control Canister requires the fuel system pressure discharge and negative battery cable disconnection. Detach the Fuel Tank Protector Sub-Assembly No.1 (Off Road Package) and disconnect both fuel tank main tube and fuel tank return tube before proceeding to remove the fuel tank assembly. You should disconnect the EVAP tube from Charcoal Canister Filter No.2 followed by disconnecting all connectors then removing the bolt and two nuts on the assembly and finally take out the charcoal canister assembly. You should disconnect the fuel tank vent hose by using a flat tool to release the retainer then pull the connector away while inspecting it for foreign matter and avoiding O-ring damage as well as connector scratching.
