Begin the headlamp dimmer switch assembly replacement process by removing the steering wheel cover lower No.2 and lower No.3 pieces followed by horn button assembly dismantling and steering wheel assembly removal using Special Service Tool: 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021). The necessary step to replace the headlamp dimmer switch assembly involves first disconnecting the steering column cover and spiral cable sub-assembly and windshield wiper switch assembly and then disconnecting the connectors to remove the band clamp and disengage the claws from the assembly. When installing the new headlamp dimmer switch assembly position it correctly with the recessed portion of the rotating stopper meeting the stopper and apply the band clamp and claws after which you can safely reconnect all connectors. Reinstall both the steering wheel assembly and horn button assembly once you place the spiral cable correctly. After completing the process by reconnecting the negative terminal and checking the horn assembly and warning light you must initialize the system.
