  A: The first step in power steering link assembly overhaul includes treating specified parts with either power steering fluid or molybdenum disulfide lithium base grease. First disconnect the FR wiper arms for both right-hand and left-hand sides and next remove the hood to cowl top seal and cowl top ventilator louvers for both right-hand and left-hand sides and finally take out the windshield wiper motor & link assembly and cowl panel sub-assembly. After inspecting the center front wheel the technician should remove the steering column hole cover plate while marking the sliding yoke and intermediate shaft for reference then loosen the bolt to separate the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly by applying pressure to guide the wheel with a seat belt for stability.
