First remove bolt A together with the nut to remove the fan belt adjusting bar and afterward take off bolt B along with the generator. To mount the generator first fix it with bolt B before installing the fan belt adjusting bar with bolt A while tightening the nut to 11 Nm (112 kgf.cm, 8 ft.lbf). Place the fan and generator V-ribbed belt on each pulley before inserting the adjusting bar between the engine mounting bracket and generator while pushing towards the vehicle front to set the V-ribbed belt tension but avoid inserting the bar between the oil control valve and generator since this could damage components. Begin by tightening bolt A followed by tightening bolt B with 19 Nm (189 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) for bolt A while bolt B reaches 54 Nm (551 kgf.cm, 40 ft.lbf) torque. After installing the wire harness clamp, connect the generator connector and install the generator wire using a nut tightened to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf), complete the procedure by installing the terminal cap.
