    A: Service and repair procedures of the Canister Purge Valve start by disconnecting the battery negative terminal. The first step involves removing Vacuum Switching Valve Assembly No.1 after disconnecting its connector and then unclipping the wire harness and detaching both fuel vapor feed hoses No.1 and No.2 from the valve. You must separate the vacuum switching valve from its position on the air cleaner hose. Before installing Vacuum Switching Valve Assembly No.1 position it on the air cleaner hose and connect fuel vapor feed hose No. 2 while maintaining correct hose angle positioning for the clip and mark. Follow by connecting fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 when the hose clip sits properly with its mark while you install the wire harness clamp and reconnect the vacuum switching valve connector. Secure the final connection of the negative battery terminal at 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf).
