- Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor on 2005 Scion tC?A: Start the replacement of the Heated Oxygen Sensor by disconnecting the battery negative terminal. To remove the heated oxygen sensor disconnect its connector then apply Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to extract it from the position. Attach the new heated oxygen sensor with Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 and tighten it to 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) before restoring the heated oxygen sensor connector. Reassemble the battery negative terminal while torquing it to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf). Lastly it is necessary to test for exhaust gas leaks. Power window control system and sliding roof system initialization should be performed when reconnecting the battery terminal.
