The first step when replacing the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor requires users to disconnect the battery negative terminal. The air fuel ratio sensor requires detachment of its connector and clamp before using Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to uninstall the sensor. The new air fuel ratio sensor installation requires tool 09224-00010 for proper torqueing to 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) which completes the sensor installation so reconnect the connector and clamp. Reattach the battery negative terminal by tightening it to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) and verify exhaust gas leakage. After reconnecting the battery terminal always perform initializations on both the power window control system and sliding roof system.
