Start by removing the transmission case protector along with its two bolts and then unplug the connector clamp and input sensor connector. Severely drain the input sensor while placing a container beneath to gather any falling transmission oil. When installing a new input sensor secure the 2 bolts on the transmission case protector while reaching 8.0 Nm which equals 82 kgf-cm or 6 ft. lbs. of torque. Install the front and rear engine under covers after you put the recommended amount of transmission oil that will drain from the input sensor removal. Use transmission oil grade API GL-4 or GL-5 with viscosity SAE 75W-90. End this procedure by torpedoing the filler plug at 39 Nm (400 kgf-cm, 29 ft. lbs.) then perform leakage checks.
