Service of brake calipers begins by disconnecting the flexible hose through union bolt removal while replacing the gasket and carefully collecting draining brake fluid in a container before torqueing the union bolt to 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.). The flexible hose should be locked in position using the caliper lock hole during installation. After holding the sliding pin you must remove the two installation bolts and torque them to 26 Nm (270 kgf-cm) (20 ft. lbs.) then detach the caliper from the torque plate. Remove the two brake pads with anti-squeal shims followed by the four pad support plates. The installation process starts by following the removal steps in reverse order while adding brake fluid to the reservoir and performing brake system bleeding before leak inspection.
