How to replace the thermostat on 2004 Toyota Highlander?

The thermostat replacement process starts with coolant drain and continues by detaching the generator assembly while removing its water inlet through two nut removal steps and disconnecting it from the cylinder block. Set the new thermostat along with a gasket to its place by placing the jiggle valve facing upward and carefully position it within 10 degrees either side of the recommended spot. Reinstallation of water inlet starts with screwing the two nuts followed by coolant addition and a leak test at the end.
