  A: The first step toward replacing the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY begins with removing the battery together with the air cleaner assembly, air cleaner hose No.1, air cleaner bracket, air cleaner inlet No.1, intake air resonator sub-assy and engine under cover No.1. Disassembly of the transmission control cable assembly requires removing the nut from the control shaft lever followed by disconnecting the control cable from the control shaft lever then removing the clip from the control cable bracket. The park/neutral position switch assembly removal process starts with disconnecting its connector before removing the nut and washer and control shaft lever and then prying out the lock plate to remove the lock nut and lock plate to finally pull out the park/neutral position switch by taking out the two bolts.
