A: The replacement process for the Rear Wheel Stud includes the step by step removal of the rear wheel together with the speed sensor rear LH followed by separation of the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH and removal of the rear disc. The sequence to replace the Rear Wheel Stud begins with removing the parking brake shoe return tension spring followed by the parking brake shoe strut compression spring and parking brake shoe strut LH before serving the parking brake shoe. Apply Special Service Tool: 09650-17011 to uninstall the Rear Wheel Stud. After inserting a new stud into the axle hub you must apply a washer plate and tighten the hub nut. The procedure involves installing the parking brake shoe followed by the parking brake shoe strut LH and its compression spring and return tension spring in order. Reinstall both the rear disc and proceed with connecting the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH. The procedure now requires installing the speed sensor rear LH followed by brake fluid addition to the reservoir and brake line bleeding and checking the reservoir fluid level before wheel installation with a torque setting of 112 Nm (1,142 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.). To finish the process check the ABS speed sensor signal along with the parking brake lever travel.
