How to replace the steering angle sensor on 2004 Scion xB?

In order to substitute the steering angle sensor, be safe and disconnect the battery and have the front wheels aligned straight. Take off horn button assembly, steering wheel assembly and spiral cable sub-assembly. Disconnect steering sensor, unplug old steering sensor, plug in new steering sensor and reassemble parts checking steering sensor SRS light and VSC.
