How to remove and install the front Air Bag sensor on 2003 Toyota Sequoia?

The procedure to remove the front Air Bag sensor starts with removing the battery carrier together with the battery and battery tray. Keep the front Air Bag sensor assembly installed before unplugging its connector from the system. The front Air Bag sensor requires removal of 2 bolts which are located on its left-hand side. On the right-hand side start by taking off the air cleaner assembly followed by disconnection of the front Air Bag sensor connector before removing the 2 bolts securing the front Air Bag sensor. Place the front Air Bag sensors correctly using the 4 bolts while setting torque at 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf). Connect the connector only after sensor installation completes and confirm that the sensor reaches the right torque setting. Replace the sensor with a new one if it reveals damage or experience any drop incidents. An electrical connection check system on the front sensor requires secure locking of the connector before attachment to prevent diagnostic system identification of malfunction codes. First install the front Air Bag sensor with its arrow pointing toward vehicle forward direction.
