How to service the Air Bag Sensor for the floor shift on 2003 Toyota Avalon?

Service of the floor shift Air Bag Control Module begins with unbolting the front door scuff plate LH, cowl side trim LH, No.1 lower panel, No.2 under cover, lower panel, upper console panel, rear console box, and front console box. The procedure begins by disconnecting Air Bag sensor connectors from their installation position with the Air Bag sensor assembly still present. Using a Torx wrench (T40) or local tool equivalent to Part No.09042-00020 you can remove the four screws that hold the Air Bag sensor assembly in place. The Torx wrench (T40, Part No.09042-00020 or locally manufactured tool) should be used for securing the new Air Bag sensor assembly with four screws at 20Nm torque. Connect each sensor connector after the assembly installation. Check for product defects on the sensor assembly and ensure the SRS wiring maintains enough distance from surrounding car parts. The sensor assembly needs to be checked for looseness through a post-installation shaking test. To finish the installation put back all necessary components which include the front console and rear console box with upper console panel and lower panel and No.2 under cover and No.1 lower panel and cowl side trim LH and the front door scuff plate LH.
