How to Replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2002 Toyota Tacoma?

The first step to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor requires engine under cover removal then moving on to disconnecting the generator along with its bracket using three bolts. After disconnecting the sensor connector and bracket connector workers should detach the crankshaft position sensor using two securing bolts before removing the O-ring. The sensor installation requires the insertion of a new O-ring which needs securement by 2 bolts torqued to 8.5 N.m (85 kgf.cm, 74 in.lbf). The sensor connector must subsequently attach to the bracket before attachment to the sensor. Secure the generator bracket by using 3 bolts while applying 74.5 N.m torque to Bolt A and 18 N.m torque to Bolt B. Place the generator followed by the engine in its proper under cover location.
