Service and repair of the Radiator Cooling Fan Motor requires operators to first remove the No. 1 cooling fan after disconnecting the relay block for daytime running lights from the battery hold-down clamp and disconnecting the cooling fan connector and then removing the 2 bolts that secure the cooling fan with a torque of 5.0 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.). You must drain the engine coolant for removing the No. 2 cooling fan. After which disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator and disconnect the cooling fan connector. Finish by removing the three cooling fan bolts with a torque setting at 5.0 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.). Before fan and clip removal, use gentle motions around the motor shaft to prevent damage and maintain clip install from the fan side without the protrusion. An operator should first disconnect the fan motor connector before removing the 3 fan motor securing screws. The equipment requires following the order of reverse removal steps during the assembly process.
