Initiate Radiator Cooling Fan Motor service by breaking down the No.1 cooling fan through relay block (for daytime running light system) disconnect from battery clamp then unplug the fan connector before bolting off the fan with 5.0 Nm tolerance (50 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs). Proceed with draining the engine coolant before disconnecting the upper radiator hose from the radiator and the cooling fan connector then unfastening the 3 bolts securing the No.2 cooling fan while maintaining 5.0 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.) torque. The motor shaft should be protected during the removal of the clip and fan assembly step while assembly requires the new clip to be put into position opposite to any fan protrusions. Disconnection of the fan motor connector leads you to remove 3 screws before removing the fan motor. The proper order for reassembly matches the sequence of removal and disassembly processes.
