  A: The power steering pump service begins with the removal of the air cleaner assembly while separating the MAF meter connector along with air cleaner hose and clamps then removing the three bolts holding them in place. The drive belt tensioner requires a counterclockwise rotation followed by removing the drive belt from the system. Begin servicing the power steering pump by removing the two vacuum hoses using clip removal and then disconnecting the return hose by unclipping it. To disconnect the pressure feed tube start by removing the union bolt with its gasket then continue by taking off the 2 bolts and nut and stud bolt with the PS vane pump assembly. Begin installation by mounting the PS vane pump assembly with the stud bolt before torquing it to 22 Nm (220 kgf-cm, 16 ft. lbs.) then fasten the 2 bolts and nut by torquing them to 44 Nm (450 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). The pressure feed tube requires a stopper touching against the PS vane pump body before installing a new gasket with the union bolt at 46.5 Nm (475 kgf-cm and 34 ft. lbs. torque). Reattach the return hose with its clip then you can attach the two vacuum hoses along with their clips. After loosening the tension you should install the drive belt before reinstalling the air cleaner assembly with its hose, 3 bolts, clamp, and hoses and connector for the MAP meter.
