2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the fuel pressure regulator on 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder?
A: The process to service the fuel pressure regulator requires you to begin by taking out the fuel pump and sender gauge assembly from the fuel tank then proceeding to detach the fuel suction plate by removing the fuel sender gauge connector and ground plate after which you should use two screwdrivers to separate the fuel suction plate but maintain careful handling of the suction support and fuel suction plate before disconnecting the fuel pump connector. The next step should involve pulling the fuel pressure regulator out before removing its O-ring. To install the pressure regulator begin by placing the new O-ring onto its surface before applying gasoline to the O-ring which you will then push into position. Link the fuel pump connector before adding the fuel suction plate to the fuel filter and fuel pump assembly and finally reattach the fuel sender gauge connector with the ground plate. Reinstall the fuel pump together with the sender gauge assembly onto the fuel tank.
