2002 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the ignition coil on 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: A service of the ignition coil requires users to detach both the V-bank cover and the intake air connector. Service of the ignition coil begins by disconnecting two wire clamps and the engine wire from the LH cylinder head cover. The next step involves removing electrical connectors from staples while pulling out the ignition coil assemblies (with igniter) from their spark plug positions by removing bolts first. Eight ignition coils containing igniters need to be detached where each coil must receive installation torque application at 7.5 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf). The reinstallation sequence should proceed in the opposite order of removal.
