A: Apply power steering fluid or molybdenum disulfide lithium base grease on all specified parts before you install them. Take off the battery negative terminal connection point first before using 09950-50013 Special Service Tool to detach the horn button and steering wheel assembly. Untie the front wheel from the vehicle before splitting the left and right tie rod parts with Special Service Tool: 09628-62011. Remove the bolt fasteners to free up the steering intermediate shaft sub-assembly and take off front stabilizer links. Use Special Service Tool: 09023-12700 to disconnect the return tube assembly and pressure feed tube assembly before you take out the rack and pinion power steering assembly. Connect the 09023-38200 special service tool to work with the rack and pinion assembly and take out the left and right tie rods. Next remove steering rack boot fasteners and clamps before taking apart the steering rack boot and clamps. Use tool 09922-10010 to take out the steering rack boots and the contained steering rack end subparts. Detach the power steering control valve, rack guide, and top oil seal by utilizing Special Service Tool (SST): 09950-70010 (09951-07150), 09950-60010 (09951-00250) along with a press. Reinstall the power steering rack system together with bush and cylinder end stopper then test for leaks with Special Service Tool: 09631-12071 (09633-00010). Install the power steering control valve set with its elements while following bolt and nut torque standards. To finish you must join all pressure and return fluid lines then put on front stabilizer links and brush retaining hardware. Also return the tie rods while keeping the correct tightening procedure. Put the front wheel back in position and press out old power steering fluid before inspecting and setting front wheel alignment parameters and steering wheel center.
